In June 2024, used cars in Russia fell in price by almost 5%
At the end of December 2023, the average price of a used car was almost 1.63 million rubles. By the beginning of summer 2024, it had decreased by 73 thousand rubles, the agency’s specialists estimated.
According to analysts, used cars in the country have become cheaper since March, for the fourth month in a row. In June, compared to May, they became cheaper by 14 thousand rubles.
Earlier, dealers warned of a possible disruption in the supply of cars and spare parts from China. Difficulties in making payments became more widespread.
In terms of sales in Russia, Chinese cars are second only to Lada cars. By the end of the first half of 2024, more than 719 thousand new cars were sold in the Russian Federation, which is 79% more than the previous year.
