Every third Russian entrepreneur turns to lawyers for advice on M&A issues. One of the main reasons why companies turn to lawyers is their objectivity and independence.

Representatives of Russian companies have identified the main tasks for which they are willing to turn to legal agencies, according to the results of a study conducted by the Moscow Digital School and the Tkach and Partners law firm.

  • 73% of Russian companies will turn to legal agencies to resolve issues related to representation in court and support in legal disputes;
  • 61% of the companies surveyed resolve issues related to intellectual property and trademark registration with the help of lawyers;
  • 58% of companies need the help of lawyers when interacting with regulators;
  • 52% of business representatives need legal advice on international law issues;
  • 33% of companies turn to lawyers for advice on mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

To prepare the study, a survey was conducted among representatives of legal departments of more than 200 IT companies.
