Yandex co-founder Volozh spoke about the complete lack of ties with Russia
“Today we have no ties with Russia. We do not send a single byte of data to Moscow. All of this is certified by one of the four largest consulting firms… I am clear: we must be holier than the Pope,” he says.
He noted that Nebius Group employs managers from the US and Europe, and its official language is “broken English.”
It is known that the Dutch company Yandex NV, which until recently owned Yandex’s Russian business, agreed in February to sell it to a consortium of investors for 475 billion rubles. Last week it became known that Volozh had returned to his position as director and the name had been changed to Nebius Group.
Last year he condemned the conduct of the SVO in Ukraine and then the European Union excluded Volozh from the sanctions lists it joined in 2022, after which he left all positions at Yandex, which he founded;
We previously wrote that the foreign startup, which was previously part of Yandex NV’s structure as a trading division, has officially launched the Nebius Group company. It intends to resume trading on Nasdaq and also conduct a buyback.
