The Moscow Arbitration Court has registered a claim by Moscow Credit Bank PJSC against Euroclear Bank SA/NV (Euroclear Bank). The claims presented in the claim amount to almost 11.5 billion rubles, the information is contained in the electronic court file.

RIA Novosti, citing the ICD press service, reports that “these actions are aimed at unblocking frozen assets.”

Recall that European countries began to introduce sanctions against the NSD (National Settlement Depository) in 2022. Money and other assets of Russian clients were blocked in accounts of European depositories Euroclear and Clearstream.
Following this, many banks, companies and individuals from the Russian Federation filed lawsuits in Russian courts against the Belgian bank Euroclear and the Luxembourg bank Clearstream Banking, related to the freezing of assets.
