In his new book iMind: Artificial and Real Intelligence, Mohamed I. Elmasry argues that the focus is now shifting from RI (natural or real) intelligence to AI (machine or artificial intelligence). Instead, he encourages us to develop our minds. Habits such as taking a nap during the day, getting memory training, and not using a smartphone increase your chances of healthy aging.
According to Elmasry, modern phones can be used for up to 10 years, and the human brain in a healthy body can live for 100 years or more.
Nowadays, young people have become more dependent on smartphone apps instead of their own intelligence. At the same time, a healthy memory goes hand in hand with natural intelligence.
Daytime naps can help improve memory and brain function. The expert also recommends reading out loud, using all your senses. Other methods include adding a day a week for real rest, overhauling your lifestyle as early as your 20s and 30s, adopting a healthy diet, and giving up or radically reducing alcohol.
