The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, UEC Director General Vadim Badekha and UEC-UMPO Director General Evgeniy Semivelichenko. The new site covers an area of 2000 sq. m. The press was designed and manufactured at the Drobmash plant in the Nizhny Novgorod region, which reduced dependence on imports.
The introduction of high-tech equipment will allow 24-hour work on gas control of titanium and aluminum castings, which are necessary for the production of aircraft engines. UEC plans to produce more than 3,500 engines for aircraft and helicopters under the aviation industry development program by 2030.
