Another 51% of respondents offer training within the company and, if the person agrees, they hire them, according to the survey results.

In 35% of cases, employers offer applicants an internship to test them in practice. Almost a third of companies are not willing to continue cooperating with a candidate who does not fully meet the job profile.

According to analysts, employers’ attitude towards such candidates has changed markedly over the past two years: in 2022, 46% refused to give a chance to a candidate without competition.

At the same time, employers are increasingly offering in-house training. One in five people is prepared to pay a salary above the market average to any employee who has the necessary skills; this approach is practiced by 19% of companies, compared to only 13% two years ago.

The survey involved 250 business representatives from all over Russia. The survey itself was conducted in July 2024.
