According to representatives of the development company NtechLab, Tatarstan became the first region in Russia to introduce this type of new-generation video analytics. The AI uses computer vision to detect smokers and encourage them to quit using various appeal options.
NtechLab CEO Alexey Palamarchuk noted that this is an important step in the development of video analytics and digital technologies. In the future, a similar system is planned to be launched in Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod and other cities.
Minister of Digital Development of Tatarstan Ayrat Khairullin added that the new technology will increase the level of security and efficiency in the republic and contribute to the digital transformation.
