Although I have my own bike, for many years I have been paying for seasonal access to bike rentals and using rental bikes constantly. There are some tricks and hacks that not everyone knows about.
Paying for seasonal access (1235 or 1855 rubles one time), you can use the rental from April to the end of October without additional payment and almost unlimited.
Depending on the type of access, you can travel up to 30 minutes or up to 60 minutes (I pay 1855 rubles for 60 minutes, it is much more convenient). But this does not mean that you can only shoot for 60 minutes and that’s it. Simply “upgrade” the bike (turn it in and pick it up immediately) for 60 minutes to start over. And you can do this as many times as you want. The rules say that when you return the bike and take it back, you must wait 15 minutes, in fact, it is not.
There are parking lots for regular and electric bikes. You can not put an ordinary bike on an electric parking lot (an SMS comes with a request to rearrange it to a normal one), but the electric parking lot can be safely used to “upgrade” a bike, if you immediately hand it over and choose it, time will pass again and the fine will not be cancelled.
Often in ordinary parking lots you can find electric bikes (they are easy to distinguish by the red control panel, not blue). Those who parked an electric bike in a regular parking lot, according to the rules, are fined 1000 rubles (I don’t know if they really take it). It is better not to take electric bikes from a regular parking lot (they are almost always completely unloaded, and if you take this bike and immediately deliver it, they can be fined 1000 rubles, since the parking lot is not electric).
When returning a bicycle, it is very important to check that not only does the message “Return OK” appear on your screen, but also that the rental has ended in the application or that an SMS about the end of the rental has arrived (lately, Los SMS often do not arrive).
Yesterday I returned the bike to the parking lot, it said “Return OK”, but in the application the time continued to pass. It turned out that something happened to the parking lot and it temporarily does not work, while getting along very well. In this case, you must immediately call the support service (your phone number is in the application) and say that the parking has not been completed. They make a request and promise to send a message about the request via email. It turned out that this would also have to be watched: the letter did not arrive, but time continued to pass and the money began to “drip” due to a non-existent trip.
When I called again, it turned out that no request had been made (I don’t know how this happened, the first operator assured that everything was in order and that the request had been made). After about half an hour, the trip was over, there was no cancellation of money.
There is nothing wrong with the situation with an incomplete rental, but it is important to monitor both the completion of the rental in the application (or SMS) and the registration of the application (E-mail), and if something is wrong, immediately call support
