Earlier this week, the Federal Antimonopoly Service suggested that retail chains independently curb price increases and markups.
On the eve of the FAS recommendation, online store Citylink followed suit, cutting prices by 7% from the average retail price of 160 items across 60 product categories.
As reported by the service, the DNS retailer has made a similar decision.
“The list includes both basic product categories (kettles, televisions, vacuum cleaners, etc.) and products relevant to preparing for the school year (personal computers, computer peripherals, laptop bags and backpacks, etc.),” the FAS Message reads.
The program will run until the end of September in 1,233 locations where the company operates.
M.Video is also among the companies that FAS has asked to limit margins.
