AgroCode Hack 2022 is over: results

The AgroCode Hack 2022 online hackathon took place from September 16 to 18 in an online format. This year, nearly 1,500 IT specialists from 140 Russian cities applied to participate in the competition. After the preliminary selection, about 150 people made it to the final, who were united into 30 teams. Problem solutions were submitted by 27 teams.

The partners and authors of the AgroCode Hack 2022 tasks were Rostselmash Group of Companies, Agrointellect and Terroir Concept.

On the Rostselmash track, the participants had to develop an algorithm to determine the limits of the truck body for the combine. The winner of this track was the team of Chicky, Cha-Cha, Boom-Boom from Moscow and Kazan. Second place was taken by the Agrolab II team from Moscow and Krasnoyarsk.

“Thank you very much to all the teams for participating in this event. We were surprised that functional solutions were found for such a non-trivial task in such a short time. It was especially difficult to choose the winner, because all the decisions were unique in their own way.”— Alexey Begaev, machine vision specialist from Rostselmash.

For Agrointellect, the teams had to develop an analytical model to identify patterns in cow diseases on farms and treat them effectively. The best solution to this problem was proposed by the FEDOT HACK TEAM from St. Petersburg. The second was the Moscow Filet Mignon specialists.

Terroir Concept set out to develop a service for finding promising land for growing grapes in the Krasnodar Territory. On this track, the digital rover team from Nizhny Novgorod and Kemerovo received the highest rating. The jury also singled out the NBL team from Moscow and St. Petersburg – it took second place.

On September 15, the final of the AgroCode Data Science Cup student championship was also held. The jury evaluated 53 solutions from the participants to improve the search on the site of the b2b agricultural market of products “Svoye Farming”. Based on the throwing results of five participants from the top of the leaderboard, the jury chose three championship winners.
