Citing Article 13 of the ASA Terms of Service, Apple notified developers in Russia via email that their accounts were blocked. Although the reason was not officially announced, many believe that this is due to the registration of accounts in Russia. This was reported by the author of the iOS Dev Telegram channel, who noted that the problem concerns all developers in Russia.

The issue of payments for app sales for developers from Russia and Belarus is still unresolved. It is also unclear how disabling Apple Search Ads (ASA) will affect the promotion of apps on the App Store. Developers are concerned about the future of their apps and possible changes to payment policies.

Developer Viktor Grushevsky shared on social networks that he received a similar notification from Apple. He explained that the main reason for the blocking was the country where the account was registered. Apple Search Ads is a platform where applications are promoted in the App Store search, and according to Apple statistics, 70% of users find and download applications through search.
