Repairing electronics such as smartphones or laptops is best left to official service centers rather than unauthorized workshops, which can further aggravate the problem. Stanislav Gavrilov, head of the MTS after-sales service center, explained that unauthorized centers often use non-original or used spare parts, which can lead to new malfunctions or even worsen the condition of the device.
Gavrilov also debunked the myth that authorized service centers try to inflate repair costs, admitting that they are “out of warranty.” He said all repair costs are covered by the manufacturer, making the process more transparent for customers. “Large retailers have clear repair obligations, which makes maintenance easier,” he added.
If the device needs to be repaired, Gavrilov recommends contacting authorized service centers. Only original spare parts and proven techniques are used here, and employees undergo special training. Before taking your device for repair, it is useful to reboot and update the software, disable locks and back up data to avoid loss and failure.
