According to Kommersant, social networks, mobile app developers and marketplaces can join the platform where government agencies can exchange information with companies about incidents related to cyber fraud.
The creation of such a platform has been discussed since spring 2024. Telecom operators, banks and IT companies are expected to connect to it. The project itself is called “TelecomCert” and its full launch is planned for the end of 2026.
According to Artem Sheikin, Deputy Chairman of the Council for the Development of Digital Economy of the Federation Council, the implementation of the project will allow government agencies, together with developers and social networks, to prevent fraudulent schemes.
He also noted that cybercrime today is often transnational in nature. And for effective analysis and timely response, it will be necessary to combine the efforts of law enforcement agencies with banks, telecom operators and IT companies, Sheikin believes.
Representatives of Sberbank, Tinkoff and Tele2 spoke positively about connecting a larger number of participants to the platform in an interview with the newspaper.
Director of the Ecosystem Protection Center at Tinkoff Bank Oleg Zamiralov notes that the transfer of information to the platform should be mandatory, not voluntary.
