Gurman’s report notes that all M4-based Macs tested have either 16GB or 32GB of memory. If that trend continues, buyers will get 16GB of RAM by default this year. The M4 chip will also offer a new maximum RAM capacity of 32GB, up from 24GB in the M3.
M4-powered Mac devices are expected to come in a variety of configurations; some models will feature an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU, while the fully unlocked M4 chip will feature a 10-core CPU and 10-core GPU. M4 Pro and M4 Max variants have not yet been confirmed.
