The email ecosystem, which has long been not just an email service but also allows you to store data in the cloud, use a calendar, a whiteboard, notes and other functions, has undergone a major update, the company’s press service told RB.RU.

They say that the technological changes introduced in products and in visual style are a response to a new stage of development and the demand of a young public.

“Mail is no longer just mail. Now Mail is an ecosystem that combines neural networks and ML tools, mail, cloud, services for productivity, shopping organization, as well as business and leisure planning. After technological changes, the time has come for visual updates,” said Andrey Sumin, head of the Mail business unit.

The updates affected all services. Mail, start page, cloud, as well as notes, calendar and shopping have been updated. The logo no longer contains the “.ru” domain zone and the color scheme now includes updated blue and light green. In addition to the updated visual language, there will be a mascot – the white dog Byte.

He is ready to inform users about new features and updates to mail products. You can ask him questions if you have any questions about the technologies it contains: he can tell you where to find a short summary of the letter, how to generate an idea or “process” the text using a neural network, and he also has tricks to be more productive with mail services.

The Mail.ru Agent service, known to users since 2003, ceased its operation on August 20. Users were asked to replace it with “VK Messenger” and VK WorkSpace.
