Yandex Station Duo Max has received a major update, which implements many long-awaited functions and also fixes known errors.

New applications

Gesture control

Browser
The built-in browser on Duo Max Stations will now launch on the home page with a search bar, favorite sites, and player search.
This update has significantly improved the process of surfing the Internet. For example, if you are looking for recipes or interesting articles, you no longer need to pick up your phone – just use the browser on Duo Max.
Personal profiles
Duo Max Station now supports multiple profiles. Each family member can sign in with their Yandex account to receive personalized music and video recommendations.
In addition, Alice can now remember the owners of the Duo Max Station by voice. To do this, you need to say “Alice, let’s get acquainted”, and the acquaintance process begins, which will offer you personalized recommendations to the virtual assistant.
Parental control
Parents can set a PIN code to log out of a child’s account or check access to applications. A useful innovation for those who monitor their child’s pastime.
These features will be available later in 2024.
1. Search for videos in online cinemas. The user needs to not only find the movie or series you are interested in, but also find out in which online cinemas you can watch it. Alice will show all the available options herself.
2. Calls to other Stations. Now the owner of the Duo Max Station can receive calls between their Stations and the Home with Alice app. For example, you can call Duo Max on your smartphone to send a message to your family or remind them of something important.
3. Karaoke. The music player will have the ability to play the lyrics, which will show the words quickly.
4. Musical novelties. There will be a full-fledged ability to search for music by artists, albums and playlists. For example, if you are looking for the current album or want to find new tracks, you can do this directly on the device.
5. New camera features.It allows users to control content using gestures.
6. Advanced parental control capabilities.. It will be possible to manage the time that children can spend on the phone. For example, setting limits on watching videos, setting a daily routine with a limit on use in the watch mode.
