The new AI functionality will help improve reliability and reduce charging infrastructure uptime. As Electrek notes, while the number of high-quality EV charging stations in the United States has doubled, there are still issues with their efficiency and reliability.

ChargePoint continues to expand its existing network of EV charging stations, and several automakers are coming together to create a new EV charging network across North America. But not all chargers are working as expected, so ChargePoint aims to solve that problem.

The vendor also introduced a new technology called Omni Port, which combines multiple charging connectors into a single port, allowing EV drivers to charge anywhere there are charging stations on the network.
