In Russia, they will study the possibility of using artificial intelligence (AI) to check the exam papers of the Unified State Exam (USE). Experts are also considering the option of conducting exams on computers. Although the idea of introducing AI seems premature, experts plan to study this issue in the near future.

The Director of the Federal Institute of Pedagogical Measurements (FIPI) Oksana Reshetnikova noted that artificial intelligence has already entered our lives, but it is too early to rely on it completely when checking exam answers. FIPI has not yet studied this issue, but experts promise to analyze it soon. Rosobrnadzor experts also considered how to implement exams in a computer format, studying the Moscow experience, where some subjects are already taken on computers.

The Unified State Exam in Russia began in 2001, and since then the system has been improved several times. Gradually, the exam became more secure, and the tasks became more creative. The computer format can make the exam interactive and allow the use of multimedia materials, but questions still arise about the feasibility of using artificial intelligence to assess creative tasks. Experts are sure that this requires serious research.
