TikTok trend was teaching people how to make ‘infinite money’ with bank scams

A type of bank scam has become a TikTok prank in the United States. A series of videos that went viral among users in the country showed how Chase Bank account holders can withdraw money for “free.” This is a crime.

The strategy is simple: Chase Bank customers write a deposit check for an absurd amount of money, insert it into an ATM, and Withdraw amounts before the bank realizes there are insufficient funds.

But this strategy is not a “glitch” as reported in the TikTok trend: This is a type of bank fraudBut apparently the name “modern” meant that many people did not perceive the practice as criminal and tried the scheme out of curiosity.

The bank fixed the problem and asked for the money back.
