The increase in downloads has propelled Bluesky to number one on Brazil’s app charts, ahead of other popular social networks. According to Appfigures, Bluesky downloads increased by 10,584% compared to the previous weekend, with downloads in Brazil exceeding 1 million%. This growth was also reflected globally, with downloads outside Brazil increasing by 584%, particularly in countries such as the US, Portugal, the UK, Canada and Spain.

The influx of new users has led to increased engagement on the platform. Likes on Bluesky have increased from 13 million to 104.6 million, while followers and shares have also increased significantly. The platform’s daily active users have more than doubled to 2.4 million as of Tuesday.
