“Users of Telegram mobile apps versions 11.1.x, Telegram Desktop version 5.5.x, and Telegram macOS version 11.1 can now set 2 years in the account auto-deletion settings when inactive,” the Telegram Info channel confirmed.

At the same time, Messenger users noticed that this feature is not available in all versions and on all devices. Somewhere the maximum period lasts from 12 to 18 months. The deadline should change after installing the update, which is not yet available in all app stores. In particular, the current version can be found on the Telegram website.
