Tomsky did not specify in what year inDrive intends to conduct an IPO, did not describe the planned parameters and did not disclose on which exchange the company plans to list.
Arsen Tomsky estimated that inDrive’s current share of the urban travel market in Kazakhstan is 35%. The company was founded in 2014, and over the past 10 years it has entered the markets of 46 countries, and will enter the US market in July 2023.
In November 2023, inDrive launched its venture capital arm, New Ventures, focusing on startups operating in emerging markets.
Tomsky stressed in an interview that the division will look for companies that have achieved great success in the local market, but for various reasons cannot enter the global one. Over the next 10 years, New Ventures plans to invest up to $100 million in promising startups.
