Apple has received clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for AirPods Pro 2 as an over-the-counter hearing device.

The management has issued for the first time an audio device of similar resolution, which was not originally intended for this purpose.

AirPods Pro 2 will include hearing aid functionality this fall.
