The project will also include grants for robot manufacturers and companies that deploy them in production. The market currently faces a manufacturing labor shortage of more than 400,000 people, and long-term budget planning is difficult due to rising component costs.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce also plans to create robotics development centres in each federal district and conduct audits of companies to identify robotisation opportunities.

The department stressed that the existing measures are aimed at increasing the competitiveness of Russian robotics. Russia plans to enter the top 25 countries in terms of robotization density by 2030. Currently, more than 12,000 robots operate in the country, which accounts for about 0.3% of the global market.

The passport for this project will be presented to the President in September, while the Ministry of Industry and Trade together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic Development are working on the financial component.
