The company “Bureau 1440”, which is developing a Russian analogue of Starlink, estimated the project at 445 billion rubles.
This is the first and still preliminary project, designed to last until 2030.
“Bureau 1440” allocated 329.06 billion rubles in natural resources for the project. Another 116 billion rubles should be allocated from the budget.
By the end of 2030, 292 Bureau 1440 satellites should be counted in Earth orbit. A total of 383 satellites will need to be controlled (91 of which will replace failing devices). This will require 24 rocket launches.
A representative of Bureau 1440 said that the company itself develops and operates all satellites.
In 2023, Bureau 1440 launched its Rassvet test satellites. The current data transfer rate to the device is 12 Mbps, the latency is 41 ms. [РБК]
