But despite the novelty of the update, there are several reasons why you should not install it immediately after its release and it is better to wait for iOS 18.1.
Firstly, major iOS updates are often accompanied by various issues and bugs. For example, the release of iOS 17 last year caused many complaints from iPhone 15 users due to issues with the devices overheating.
Apple has since released a fix in the form of an update, so it’s safe to assume that iOS 18 could also contain some bugs that will be fixed in later updates.
Additionally, the most anticipated feature of iOS 18, Apple Intelligence, will not arrive until iOS 18.1.
The company will split the implementation of these features into several phases and release them gradually: some in October in iOS 18.1, and the rest in December. Therefore, installing iOS 18 immediately after its release will not give you access to all the new features.
