The Russian government will launch a new information system for verifying the skills of software developers as part of the national project “Data Economy” next year. According to the authors of the project, the system will be useful not only for IT companies, but also for educational institutions and professional associations. It will provide up-to-date information on personnel in the sector and help employers quickly find specialists for open positions.

According to sources, the new certification system will be available not only to regulators and companies, but also to developers. This means that employees will be able to quickly confirm their skills and HR departments will fill vacant positions faster.

The document outlines measures to develop human resources in the IT sector, including training and employment of specialists. Currently, the project involves spending 41.3 billion rubles from the budget and 630 million rubles from extrabudgetary resources. It is expected that the system will become operational in 2025 and will initially be able to assist more than 20,000 IT specialists, and by 2030 this number will reach 250,000.
