Suddenly, MediaTek’s brainchild turned out to be more powerful than the Apple A18 Pro in multitasking mode. However, this chipset is scheduled to be introduced only next month. According to rumors, it will be installed in the Oppo Find X8.
Dimensity 9400 has one high-performance Cortex-X5 core with a frequency of up to 3.63GHz, three Cortex-X4 cores with a frequency of up to 2.80GHz, and four Cortex-A725 cores with a frequency of up to 2.1GHz.
Interestingly, the chip configuration again lacks power-efficient cores like last year’s Dimensity 9300, which was set to generate more than $1 billion in revenue for MediaTek by 2023.
It should also be noted that in the Geekbench 6 test, the Oppo Find X8 smartphone scored 8833 points in multitasking mode, leaving behind the Apple A18 Pro, which scored 8492. However, in single-threaded mode, the situation is exactly the opposite: Here the A18 Pro is the leader with 3409 points against 2889 for the Dimensity 9400.
