The new simulator imitates the structure of real organ tissue, making training as close as possible to real practice. Students will be able to master procedures such as puncture and fusion biopsy, cryosurgery and implantation of radioactive seeds in the treatment of prostate cancer, the press service noted.
The phantom was created using additive technologies and unique materials that accurately reproduce tissue in ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging. This will allow students to gain full experience working with the organ without putting patients at risk.
