The new engine range includes a four-wheel drive asynchronous motor (TAM) model designed specifically for locomotives. One of the most important developments was the installation of the ATD 1000 engine for mainline freight electric locomotives, as well as the TAD 430 for the 2TE35 diesel locomotive. These devices have a cast body, which ensures high rigidity and reliability, said Denis Akhmadulin, chief engineer of the chief technologist department of RED JSC.
In addition, two engines have been created for passenger transportation: TAD 330 and TAD 650. They are distinguished by improved operating and energy characteristics, as well as a 15% longer service interval compared to commutator engines.
