BlackRock had assets under management worth $9.1 trillion in the third quarter of 2023, an increase of $2.4 trillion over the past 12 months. Additionally, in the third quarter of 2024, the inflow of net capital managed by BlackRock amounted to a record $221 billion, the investment holding company said in a report.

BlackRock’s net income in the third quarter of 2024 amounted to $1.63 billion, up from $1.6 billion in the same period in 2023. Since the beginning of 2024, BlackRock shares on the New York Stock Exchange have risen in price 22% and, in the last 12 months, 52.5% (at 20:25 Moscow time, October 11).

According to Bloomberg, in the near future BlackRock plans to buy the British financial technology company Prequin for $3.2 billion and the American credit organization HPS Investment Partners for $10 billion.

Founded in 1998, investment holding company BlackRock is the world’s largest in terms of assets under management and owns stakes in Apple, Microsoft, Alphabet, Amazon, Nvidia and other companies. In September 2024, BlackRock, Microsoft and Nvidia announced the creation of a $30 billion fund to invest in artificial intelligence.
