According to Shpak, not only hardware platforms are being developed, but also the Aurora operating system itself. Tens of thousands of devices are sold annually and in 2024 the production of mobile devices with this operating system will continue to grow.

“Russian manufacturers can produce more than 1 million devices a year. The need of the state apparatus for Russian devices, respectively, on Russian operating systems, in the next three years will be more than 1.2 million,” Shpak noted.

He also highlighted the need to actively introduce Russian-made tablets and smartphones into everyday life. In the first half of 2025, three new devices with adapted Aurora operating system will hit the market. There are currently two tablets on sale with a similar technical solution.

The Russian mobile operating system “Aurora” can begin to be installed on PCs. This was announced in July by the CEO of the developer of the Open Mobile Platform (OMP) operating system, Pavel Eiges. At the same time, a new home game console based on the x86 architecture was presented.
