MTS analyzed smartphone sales in the Russian market based on the results of the first 9 months of 2024.

Thus, from January to September, smartphone sales in Russia increased by 13% to 522 billion rubles and amounted to 21.7 million devices. The most popular brand has become Xiaomi. The company has maintained its leadership for 3 years in a row.

The largest increase in unit sales (+97%) was demonstrated by the segment of smartphones priced from 80 to 100 thousand rubles. This was facilitated, among other things, by the emergence of AI-supported models. The segment’s share is 2% of all sales in the market.

MTS notes that sales grew in all price categories, except for the segments of 50-60 thousand rubles and smartphones costing up to 10 thousand rubles. rubles At the same time, sales of more affordable smartphones decreased by 17%.

The leader still remains the Xiaomi brand with a market share of 24% in units. In terms of money, Apple leads the way with 33%.
