Roskomnadzor said Discord continues to spread information prohibited in Russia and does not comply with requirements.
“To date, several Internet pages with such materials have not been removed,” RKN reported.
In March 2024, RKN included the company in the social media register. The service is now required to independently identify and block illegal content.
On September 30, Discord was fined 3.5 million rubles for failing to remove prohibited information. On September 18, the social network experienced a technical problem. Both the web version and the mobile app did not work. Similar problems arose a week later. On September 27, Kommersant reported that Discord could be blocked in Russia.
