Apple has reduced the iPhone 16 by 3 million units, analytics company Barclays told its investors, without specifying production and which models were being discussed.
This applies to orders for the fourth quarter, which runs from October to December. According to Barclays, the company may have cut production due to the onset of today, which has affected the phased rollout of Apple Intelligence, its limited operation due to the US, and a “lack of hardware differentiation.”
Based on the results of the third quarter (from July to September), Barclays expects iPhone sales to be 51 million units, taking into account new models. According to this indicator, the iPhone 16 will overtake the iPhone 15, but this is due to the fact that in 2024, new iPhones were sold in September for two more days than in 2023. [9to5Mac]
