In April and May 2024, the company increased the cost of communications services by an average of 8%, the FAS recalled, adding that the increase is not economically justified and violates the interests of consumers (previously reported increases of prices in April and March). ). MTS is obliged to transfer illegally obtained income to the federal budget.

The press service of the operator RB.RU reported that they are aware of the regulator’s decision. The company will determine future actions when it studies its position, MTS representatives explained.

In October 2022, the FAS determined that the operator had violated antitrust laws due to a price increase of more than 20%. In September 2023, the regulator announced that it would check MTS due to subscribers’ complaints about increased tariffs.
