The Tagansky Court in Moscow fined Microsoft and Pinterest 3.5 million rubles for refusing to remove content banned in Russia. This was reported by the press service of the courts of general jurisdiction of the city of Moscow.

Both companies were fined for committing an administrative offense under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The press service did not explain what type of prohibited information it involved.
Pinterest has been repeatedly fined in Russia, for example, for violating the self-monitoring law and refusing to localize Russians’ data.
Microsoft is one of the largest software developers in the world. The company’s net profit at the end of 2023 amounted to $72.3 billion.
Pinterest is a photo-sharing social network that allows users to upload images online, add them to collections, and share them with other users. The company’s revenue for 2023 was $3 billion.
