MediaTek has launched the Dimensity 9400 processor, which will be found in many 2024 and 2025 flagships.
The chip is manufactured using a 3nm process technology. It has 8 cores and 12-core graphics. Dimensity 9400 is 40% more power efficient than Dimensity 9300. It is 35% more powerful in single-threaded performance and 28% more powerful in multi-threaded performance.
The processor contains a built-in neural chip that is compatible with Google’s Gemini Nano language model. Previously, only Pixel smartphones supported it. MediaTek has also made it easier for other manufacturers to integrate their AI engines.
The Dimensity 9400 can shoot 10-bit HDR 8K 60 FPS video, of course, only on devices that can implement it. In addition, this processor is compatible with smartphones that can fold inward.
