Consultations on the project will be carried out by partners from China. The holding company’s owner personally allocated funds for production, but the Kremlin did not disclose the amount involved.
The company that will produce the car will open in Serpukhov, at the holding’s production base. In the first stage, it is planned to produce gearboxes and engines for automobiles there.
“Production of the new car has not yet started and there is no plant as such. The company is now considering several options and sites, from purchasing a building to constructing structures. And within a few months a decision on this matter will be made,” the Kremlin said.
The company plans to launch the company in 2026. First of all, they will mass produce an affordable sedan. Its price category has not yet been determined.
On September 2, the Rolf car dealership announced a change of ownership. The new owner was businessman and president of the International Boxing Association Umar Kremlev. He announced the company’s intention to move to the federal level.
