Max is already here. Starting today, May 21, HBO becomes Max in Spain to align with Warner Discovery’s strategy worldwide. This change will bring with it a lot more content for users and, above all, new pricing plans, but it also leaves behind many of the options that were included for all users.
First of all, it loses two of its most beloved features in the Standard plan, which are now limited to the Premium plan, which means a significant price increase (and goodbye, lifetime offer when switching plans). Goodbye 4K and Dolby Atmos if you’re sticking with the standard plan. Until now, these two options, considered basic for all users, have become premium and therefore will no longer be available unless you pay more.
Yes, you will lose all additional features unless you upgrade to a premium plan. In fact, if you do nothing, starting today, all content you see will be in Full HD (1080p), downloads will be limited to 30 for offline viewing, and you will only be able to play content on two devices at once . Good news? This remains the price of a lifetime offer if you subscribed at that time, and coverage of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris is also included.
subscribe to MAX and you will have access to the best TV series and exclusive films How The wire, Soprano or House of the Dragon. Includes the entire Warner catalogue, Cartoon Network classics, major premieres and the best of sports.
Max: goodbye 4K in the standard plan and custom avatars

Good options become available only in the premium plan. And there is no way to maintain the 50% offer under this plan. What are you taking? 4K UHD content with Dolby Atmos support, 100 downloads for offline playback and viewing on 4 devices simultaneously.
Oh, and neither plan includes sports packages, which you’ll have to pay for separately. The good news is that hiring any of them does not change your subscription and hence you keep the offer. The Sports add-on costs €5 per month and having one of the basic plans is mandatory. (premium or standard) to be able to rent it.
In terms of content, well, what you’ve had so far is a bit more. Max includes all HBO Max content from Warner Bros., Cartoon Network and DC Universe, plus live sports (if you have the Sports Pack) and other popular events like Discovery.
By the way, one more thing that faded into the background with the arrival of Max. These are personalized avatars. This isn’t a fundamental change, but from now on you’ll only be able to choose from a limited number of options.
