ByteDance, owner of the social network TikTok, presented its first Ola Friend headphones. The device allows you to communicate with the Doubao neural network, the most popular generative chatbot in China. This was reported by the South China Morning Post.

For now, Ola Friend is only sold in China. Owners of the headphones will be able to use them as an audio assistant when traveling, learning foreign languages and searching for the necessary information on the Internet, writes SCMP. You can also play music with headphones, the publication clarifies.
After connecting the headset to the smartphone, users will be able to activate the chatbot using the phrase “Doubao Doubao.” The service operates on a large language model that ByteDance introduced in 2023.
The weight of the device is 6.6 g, the headphones are available in purple, silver, white and black colors. The cost will be 1,199 yuan (170 dollars or about 16.4 thousand rubles). Starting October 17, they will be available to order on Tmall, JD.com, and ByteDance’s Douyin website.
Previously, in July, the Inphic G2 gaming headset costing only $9 was introduced in China. It features a lightweight design, a dual-layer headband, and features surround sound and custom RGB lighting effects.
