This development marks a significant step forward from the traditional use of Android Auto, which has been used on motorcycles for several years but often encounters connection problems.

With the launch of Android Automotive OS, KTM aims to offer riders advanced functions such as offline navigation and seamless updates.

“Staying connected to the world outside your helmet has never been easier, thanks to the updated CCU3.0 connectivity unit with 32 GB memory and 3 GB RAM, ultimately running the Android Automotive operating system. This allows you to connect to the Internet of Things using eSim, GPS antenna, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi,” the company writes.

The new KTM instrument panels will be available in vertical and horizontal formats and are planned to be introduced in the premium motorcycle segment.
