According to one source, the new device will cost about 2 thousand dollars (about 192 thousand rubles at the current exchange rate of the Central Bank as of October 12). For comparison, the cost of Vision Pro is 3.5 thousand dollars (about 336 thousand rubles).
Additionally, the budget Vision will use a less powerful processor and cheaper materials, Gurman says. The Vision Pro integrates an eight-core M2 chip.
Apple hopes that, thanks to the lower price, sales of the new device will be at least double those of the Vision Pro, Gurman said.
He added that the company’s Vision division will launch the second generation Vision Pro with a faster processor in 2026 and smart glasses similar to Meta* Ray-Ban and AirPods with integrated cameras in 2027.
