The discovery was made by biologists Peter Noble and Alex Positkov and was published in the journal Physiology. According to them, the existence of this “third” type of cell completely changes our understanding of cellular behavior.

What is unusual is that biologists can create new organisms using cells from both living and dead organisms.

These so-called biobots not only change their structure, but also perform unexpected tasks such as repairing damaged nerve cells.

Similar to caterpillars turning into butterflies, biobots exhibit radical changes, but unlike natural processes, they can operate outside the original “programming”.

This discovery opens up opportunities to create biorobots and xenobots capable of solving unexpected problems even for their creators.
