Following the global announcement during Computex 2024 in June, Asus held the national launch of the Zenbook S 14 this Thursday (17). The laptop is the first in Brazil to come with the new Intel Core Ultra Series 2 processors, codenamed Lunar Lake, and focuses on bold builds and artificial intelligence.

The main focus of the Zenbook S 14 is on the internal components, as the Taiwanese company has integrated this device with the new Intel Core Ultra 7 258V with eight cores and eight threads, with a maximum frequency of 4.8 GHz. The Lunar Lake generation are memory modules with a total of 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM integrated into the CPU die.

The internal storage part is not bad either, with up to 1 TB NVMe M.2 PCIe Gen 4 SSD. However, the main attraction of the processor is its NPU (Integrated Processing Unit) for AI-related tasks such as smart. Noise reduction and filtering with 45 TOPS (Trillion Operations Per Second).

Featuring new generation Intel processors, Zenbook S 14 is also equipped with a newer integrated graphics card. The model is Intel Arc with Xe2 core, which promises 80% better performance in games and a 5x generation leap in AI.

OLED screen and state-of-the-art structure

In addition to its internal features, Asus Zenbook S 14 also has the status of being one of the thinnest and lightest laptops in the national market, with a size of only 1.1 cm when closed and a weight of only 1.2 kg. The bold design features a material called Ceraluminum, which is described as a ceramic hybrid with a geometric grid appearance while being resistant to scratches and abrasion.

The 14-inch display features a PANTONE-certified OLED panel with 2.8K resolution (2880 x 1800) in 16:10 format, as well as covering 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. It is also worth noting that the screen also has TUV Rheinland certification, 400 nits native brightness and compatibility with VESA Display HDR True Black 500 technology.

Zenbook S 14 has four speakers with Harman Kardon certification and Dolby Atmos technology.

In terms of connectivity, the laptop has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, two Thunderbolt 4 connections with Power Delivery support, HDMI 2.1, headphone/microphone connector, Wi-Fi 6E, and network card with Bluetooth 5.4. As for the battery, the new Zenbook uses a 72 Wh battery.

Zenbook S 14 can now be purchased from the official Asus store for R$ 12,999.
