Like the Mac version, the Windows app allows users to upload files and photos for analysis. It also gives you access to the o1 model from the same OpenAI that has “reasons” before giving you information. However, some features such as advanced sound mode are not yet available.
After discovering a vulnerability in its Mac application, OpenAI implemented measures to encrypt locally stored data. OpenAI announced that it plans to make the applications available to all users later this year.
