Where did thousands of original MagSafe, Apple tablets and chargers appear on Avito?

All this stuff in huge quantities, available on free classifieds sites, like Avito. We are not talking about individual quantities: many sell such original Apple accessories in giant quantities, where 100 or more units are the norm.

What’s happening? Apple de jure left Russia a long time ago, it gives nothing. Where did all this come from?? There are two theories, not necessarily mutually exclusive.

Theory 1: these are leftovers from the warehouses of closed ACCs

In using this theory, it is said that the clothing sellers themselves. Almost all of them were downloaded in private correspondence that their cables and charging were purchased by closing ASCs throughout Russia.

As I recently reported, since September 2024, there is virtually no authorized service center left in Russia. Many of them spend on work and the number of branches. What happened to the equipment they had and the spare parts and accessories they had already purchased is unknown.

Sellers say that this property was publicly sold aside. And so, as they say, here we are. So, if not thousands of “magsafes” are undeniable in the originality of the letter and wait for their new owners.

By the way, at first they were sold for mere pennies, 700 rubles apiece. By October, the price had increased several times, and now it is not so easy to find an advertisement with an offer cheaper than 1,400 rubles. And on average, they ask for about 2,200 rubles for such a “gray” MagSafe.

Theory 2: these are purchases from China of unknown origin

This theory refers to the unusual use of individual accessories available for purchase on Russian free classified sites. The ASC did not act so much that their employees from Russia were sold “to the side” TEYSE And TEYSE the same MagSafe chargers.

Such volumes in warehouses initially could not be needed by any authorized service center. The purchase of 100 pieces is a gigantic loss for the ASC, which was already barely on the edge of profitability.

This option seems more likely, that all the “washers”, chargers and other Apple accessories are simply purchased in China – they go along with hundreds of “refurbished” and “exchange” Apple Watch Ultras, which, by the way, also flooded the sites in the last six months.

Taking into account the “murky” origin, we strongly doubted the originality of these accessories in most categories. But for some reason I decided not to argue in vain and carry out a test purchase.

We bought a lot of these MagSafe “hazy” ones and they are original

To avoid being vocal, we bought more than a dozen MagSafe chargers from a variety of categories. They only took it where the originality of the accessory was guaranteed, because fakes are a dime a dozen on Avito. The cheapest one cost us 1,100 rubles, the most expensive – 2,200 rubles.

Despite the different prices, the result was the same: everything charging 100% original.

They have a unique serial number, the firmware is updated correctly, they charge as expected and with a higher capacity like a Mac, and they also have a power supply. Visually, there are also no quibbles; it may be that some of the purchased “magsafe” cables have minor consequences of use.

Now the editors have covered my ears with magnetic Apple chargers, I don’t know what to do with them anymore. But the question is that their documents in the office will be closed. This is a cool thing, I’ve been praising it for a long time and will never stop.
