According to information from famous insider momomo_us, an enthusiast under the pseudonym FUGGER managed to overclock the chip to 6.6 GHz. This is significantly higher than the standard factory frequency of 5.5GHz.
Overclocking was carried out on an engineering sample of the processor using the Asus ROG MAXIMUS Z890 APEX motherboard.
Although overclocking was achieved with a limited number of active cores, this result shows that even more impressive performance figures can be expected with the launch of Core Ultra 9 285K.
At the moment, performance tests of the overclocked processor are not presented, but even without this the chip shows results that are approximately 13% higher compared to last year’s top models.
