The head of the Ministry of Education, during the visit of Vladimir Putin and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to the EM Primakov gymnasium in the Moscow region, briefed the Heads of State on the development of cooperation between the two countries in terms of education. , including plans to expand the number of exchanges between schoolchildren and teachers.

“In two years we plan to introduce Arabic into the Unified State Exam (our centralized exam) as an optional sixth exam,” the minister said.

In November, the first forum dedicated to the issue of Arabic teaching in the modern world will be held in the Primakov Gymnasium. Educators from more than ten countries are expected to attend. The gym has a branch in the United Arab Emirates – the Russian School in Abu Dhabi, which has been operating since 2021.

Rosobrnadzor is already ready to participate in the development of materials for the unified state exam in Arabic. This, as a rule, will take at least two years, the department told RIA Novosti.

On October 21, the presidents of Russia and the United Arab Emirates also opened a center for international cooperation with the United Arab Emirates in education at the Primakov Gymnasium. The institution is named after Sheikha Fatema Bint Mubarak. Its employees will develop programs and courses for the study of Arabic for schoolchildren and young teachers of the Russian regions, organize international scientific and practical forums for university employees, teachers and representatives of research centers.
